Why do men cheat?

This is the one thing that women fear while being what they think is a solid relationship, their man cheating on them while they think that everything is ok. But why do men do it?

Most men seek out variety
Men need to prove their masculinity
The bedroom department
Not interested in long term relationships

These are reason that mainly come from men as their excuse, but none are really valid, if you pick a partner to be with then you are together for a long time, but this is not always so.
