Mobile dating revenues to hit $1 billion

The company that assesses the future of mobile content, Juniper Research have made a prediction that revenues from mobile dating and chat room services is likely to climb to $1 billion by the year 2010.

This comes as the market for these types of services expands to around forty million this year and by the year 2012 the market is expected to reach around two hundred and sixty million. Although the levels from traditional regions are predicted to remain fairly stable, the increases are expected to be coming from new markets, such as India and China.

It would seem that single people are prepared to pay in order to find that special person. Which is why many of the traditional dating services are looking to enter the mobile market?
