Text messages essential to dating

Ever since the internet revolutionised the way that people try to meet new friends or dates, it has been the driving force behind many relationships, this is because with online dating everything can be done at the users own pace, which for some people can make all of the difference.

Yet there is another tool, which has slowly become the device of choice for many people who are looking for love. The mobile phone has been around for longer than broadband but it is only recently that this tool has found a niche in the dating game.

Studies have shown that over the past year around seventy per cent of couples send text messages to each other, even if it is just a short message, it can make all of the difference when people are leading busy lives.

Many people feel that sending text messages in the early stages of a relationship really helps as some people feel more comfortable communicating that way.
