Online dating is getting tougher for the newcomer; this is because there are so many different sites and now with the rise of social networking sites, such as FaceBook and MySpace the amount of people is diluted over all of these sites.

This makes it harder for the first timer to actually find the person of their dreams, unless of course they want to sign up to multiple sites and spend all day along managing their profiles.

Nevertheless, there are some ways in which the first time online dating site user can improve their chances a lot, this how they can do it:

Do not have high expectations
Take advantage of the facilities provided by the online dating services
Try to contact as many people as possible
Join person chat sessions
Be very alert while dating online
