Smokers find it hard to get a date

It seems that according to research done by NHS Smokefree, that twenty five percent of people actively looking for a potential new partner would only consider a non smoker.

This data has been used by the Bolton News in their own research, they studied the dating columns of the paper and also found that compared with ten years ago, twenty five per cent of the ads mentioned that they were looking for a non smoker. Whereas in 1997, the figure was only seven per cent.

There has to be many reasons for this change, one being the recent changes that has seen smoking banned in public places. Clearly a smoker is not going to be welcome in any hot night spots and a potential partner may not appreciate standing outside in winter while their date has a quick cigarette.

Smoking or dating a new box to be ticked.
